National Apprenticeship Week 2025

Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week: “Investing in the future of our workforce”.

This week we celebrated National Apprenticeship week! We are proud to showcase the value of apprenticeships in developing the next generation of skilled HGV Technicians and building #skillsforlife.

Here at Allports we are committed to growth, innovation and career development and Apprenticeships play a critical role within our industry.

“Our Apprentices receive a blend of structured technical training, hands-on workshop experience, and one-on-one mentoring from experienced professionals.  We ensure they gain skills in diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and new vehicle technologies.  Even after completing their apprenticeship, we continue to support their career development with advanced training and opportunities to specialise or move into leadership roles

Looking ahead: Our commitment to Apprenticeships

We have recently invested in our workshop and site facilities and provide long term opportunities for all our Aftersales teams. We nurture around four Apprentices per year and with a 100% retention rate on our previous three cohorts we provide a thriving environment to equip individuals with the hands-on experience and technical expertise needed, especially in today’s fast changing industry.

As part of our continued long-term commitment, we offer real time progression paths for all our technicians from manufacturer specific training, being mentors to our new apprentices, Class 2 licences right up to master technician status.
