Allports Group has delivered the first 19-tonne all-electric Renault E-Tech truck to support Pall-Ex Logistics’ distribution requirements in London and the surrounding areas.
The curtain-sided vehicle, complete with tail-lift, is supplied with a Zenobē charger and can be fully charged in four to six hours. With a range of approximately 135 miles and a payload of over 8000kgs, it is ideal for Pall-Ex Logistics’ collection and delivery operations, whilst also meeting all of the clean air requirements of London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).
Allports Group Managing Director, Paul Sanders, comments: “The selection process was consultative from the very beginning and Allports will continue to provide additional support to Pall-Ex Logistics with driver training and telematics. ”
Paul Pegg, Managing Director – Pall-Ex Logistics, comments: “We are delighted to be running our first electric vehicle at Pall-Ex Logistics, an important step forward as we work to decarbonise our palletised freight deliveries. The support that Allports Group has provided throughout the process has been fantastic and we are excited to explore the vehicle’s potential. ”
Allports Group supports customers in understanding their net zero objectives, and consults on every stage of decarbonised acquisitions, advising on which contracts and applications are most suitable to suit all charging, routeing, driver training and infrastructure requirements.
“We walk clients through the entire process to ensure that electric vehicles fit seamlessly into their existing operations. Moving to electric vehicles today puts Pall-Ex Logistics ahead of the curve in becoming climate change leaders. It also means that both Allports and Pall-Ex Logistics benefit from vital understanding about the vehicles in real-world application,” adds Paul Sanders.
“However, decarbonisation creates many questions for some operators, which is why we support them with a complete consultancy package to ensure they make the best possible choices and set themselves – and their electric vehicles – up for success.”
