TRUCK SALES EXECUTIVE

Location: Lichfield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday- Friday

Office Based/Midlands & Surrounding Territory

 

Role Purpose

The MHD Truck Sales Executive will be responsible for delivering profitable growth in Renault Trucks Medium and Heavy Duty vehicle sales across the Allports Group territory.
The role focuses on value‑based selling, territory development, and long‑term customer partnerships, and the transition towards zero‑emission transport.

Key Responsibilities

 

Sales & Territory Management

  • Own and develop a defined MHD sales territory, maximising market share and penetration.
  • Proactively identify, target, and convert new business opportunities while protecting and growing existing accounts.
  • Build structured account plans for key fleet and regional customers.
  • Deliver agreed unit, margin, and mix targets in line with Renault Trucks and Allports Group objectives.

 

Value‑Based & TCO Selling

  • Sell complete transport solutions, not just vehicles, including:
    • Finance & funding solutions
    • Repair & Maintenance contracts
    • Telematics, uptime services, and lifecycle support
  • Promote total cost of ownership (TCO) and customer lifetime value in every sales engagement.
  • Ensure all deals are commercially robust and aligned with OEM incentive structures.

 

Electrification & Future Transport

  • Actively promote Renault Trucks’ zero‑emission and EV‑ready MHD solutions.
  • Support customer energy‑transition discussions, trials, and pilot projects.

 

CRM & Sales Discipline

  • Fully adopt and embed Pipedrive CRM as the core sales management tool.
  • Ensure all opportunities, activities, and forecasts are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Operate within Allports Group’s structured sales cadence, reporting, and governance framework.

 

Collaboration & Customer Experience

  • Work closely with Sales Support, Aftersales, Rental (CVR), and Finance teams to deliver a seamless customer journey.
  • Ensure high‑quality sales handovers and post‑delivery follow‑up.
  • Represent Allports Group and Renault Trucks professionally at customer events, demonstrations, and OEM initiatives.

 

What you will need:

Essential

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within commercial vehicles, trucks, plant, or capital equipment.
  • Strong understanding of fleet sales, contract negotiation, and solution‑based selling.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with a disciplined approach to pipeline and margin management.
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

Desirable

  • Experience selling MHD trucks or working within the Renault Trucks network.
  • Knowledge of EV / alternative fuel commercial vehicles.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred).
